Today was awesome! We attended my cousin Willie's daughter's baby blessing in Pleasant Grove. It was good to see a lot of the family that I haven't seen in a long time. My cousin Reagan flew in from Hawaii with his lil family, in the meantime, uncle Jack & aunty Lini were in town from Missouri as well. We had so much of our family there and it's so amazing to be around them. We all laugh, eat & catch up on each other's lives...but mostly, we EAT! That's the story of our lives though. Anyways, we all hung out together and it was amazing. I probably gained 10 lbs from all the great food...but it's okay because I start my diet tomorrow (EEK!). Good luck to me right?!?
About my "DIET"...I hate that word...but anyways, me and a few people from work are starting a 'Biggest Loser' competition tomorrow. We're each paying $50 and whoever loses the most weight within 2 months wins the money. I have no problem at all trying my best to lose weight, since I'm planning on getting married; but we have to weigh ourselves and everyone finds out how much it is. That's when I'm like..."HOLD UP!" Losing weight is fine & dandy, but for everyone to know what my weight is...that's where I draw the line. I want to be a part of it so bad because I know that it'll be a good motivation, but I just don't know about sharing my weight. I'm the heaviest out of our whole group so my self-esteem really falls when I think about this whole thing. I think I'm going to try to talk myself into just doing it and say FORGET IT...go weigh yourself, work hard to lose the weight & win the freakin money dangitt! We'll see how that goes...LOL!
Well that was my day. My little sister Kelcey and I are watching E! True Hollywood Story about the Kardashian family. It's pretty interesting. We just saw this preview for a horror movie called The Haunting In Connecticut that's based on a true story and it freaked me out. So why did Kelcey scare me and I heckah jumped. Stupid girl! Well I'm going to continue to watch. I'll get at you later! *Mwah*
The first TWO people to respond to this post will get something from...ME (duh). Aunty Ruby challenged me to respond to hers...so I did. Not knowing that I would have to repost the dang thing...LOL! It's all good though. Well here it is...give it a try!The catch? You must re-post this on your blog and offer the same to the first (how ever many you want) people who do the same on your blog. The first 2 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did, win a lovely little treat for themselves! Have Fun! Ready........Set............Go!
Okay, so far this is what we have as far as our wedding goes. We've chosen our colors to be Black, White & Pink. The first thing I'm going to say is that when my Grandma finds out, she's going to flip because she hates pink. But I'm listening to everyone's advise when they say that we should do what we want to do & not be pressured into doing something we don't like or want. So yeah. We have 5 people in each of our lines & I also have 5 flower girls. It's pretty small for a polynesian wedding, but I think it's perfect even though I have a couple of family members that are a little butt hurt that they aren't in our line. I'm very sorry family...it is what it is! =)
Today Me, Mom, Boo & Kiani went to a fabric store called Hancock Fabrics to look for any material or patterns for my girls' dresses. We found one that we really liked that is MODEST, simple & flattering. Another good thing is that it was on sale for $4.99...hallelujah! All I need to do besides get the material for their dresses is look for another pattern for my lil flower girls' dresses and then we'll be set for all the girls. The only one left is...ME and that's a whole other story! In other words, I'm heckah "No thanks" to trying any dresses on right now. Eww...sick dude!
Joe & I have a cake testing appointment this Thursday with Janell from 'One Sweet Slice' bakery. The cakes on her website are adorable and she does amazing work. Hopefully all goes well and cross our fingers that our cake doesn't cost an arm & both our legs...hehehe! I'm way excited though!
Our invitations are being taken care of by my other wonderful Aunty Lila, which would be her gift to us. We are very grateful for her love and kindness in doing this for us; it helps us out so much. We've come to a decision on what invitations we are going to use. I'm really excited for that as well. We're just waiting for a good time for us to take our engagement photos to insert in the invites.
It's all slowly coming together & I finally feel like we're moving along. Yippee!
