The Little Things

When I sit and think about how stressed I am with...LIFE,
it's the little things that I tend to forget.
I have to realize them and be grateful for them.

* Another beautiful day *
Some people weren't able to do that...just...wake up.
LIFE IS TOO SHORT!!
Don't take a day for granted.

* My husband *
I am the luckiest woman...EVER!!
I have an eternal companion
A husband that holds and is worthy of his priesthood.
One that goes to work every single day to provide for NOT just me,
but MY family too. What kind of man is okay with providing for his in-laws??
Lol...there's not many out there like that & I'm proud to say that MINE is one-of-a-kind.
He does everything in his power to make me happy, he believes that "A happy wife, is a happy life". =)
He makes me smile/laugh every single day.
I cherish the time he takes to give me a kiss EVERY morning before leaving to work...
even when he's running late.
He is my everything...I love you,
♥Joseph Christopher Bleyl♥

* My family & friends *
I am fortunate enough to be very family oriented;
and blessed enough to have great friends.
My Momma is still here with me and recently I have come to realize how much I NEED her here.
She is my rock & my inspiration. I'd be lost without her. I ♥ her soooo much!!
I have all of my siblings,
and with them...thee BEST nieces and nephews.
My friends are always by my side...
whether its been a couple hours or a couple of years since we've last spoken,
I know that no matter how long it's been,
that the next time I see or talk to them,
we'll pick up just where we left off.

* The gospel *
Isn't this everyone's blessing?!?
We'd all be lost without it.
I love my Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ.
I'm thankful for the plan of salvation;
to know that we can be with our loved ones again.
Families truly are forever!

* My job *
There are countless people who don't have jobs.
Who can't provide for their families;
and therefore don't have food in their tummies or clothes on their backs.
No matter how hard my job is,
how difficult/annoying/obnoxious a guest is being,
how long of a day it is...
I'm grateful to be able to assist my husband in taking care of our responsibilities.
Can't forget the amazing benefits =)
Knowing that if my husband or I get sick,
we can go to the Dr's office and not worry about paying a "million" dollars.
Also, the hotel discounts...those are always AMAZE-BALLS too!! =)

* To be free *
I'm so proud to be an american!!
In our country we have freedom...not many other countries do.
I'm very grateful for our soldiers that have lost and put their lives on the line for ME.
We are the land of the free
 and I'm going to make darn sure everyone knows that I'm happy to be a citizen of the
United States Of America!!

What are some of the things that you tend to forget in your everyday lives?
Think about it... =)

I love my life...everyone AND everything in it!!

Story Of My Life

"ONLY AN AUNTIE...
Can love you like a mommy,
Keep secrets like a sister,
Behave like a true friend
& can kick your butt if needed!"

Let me be completely honest with you, I really can not wait to have kids of my own. My husband on the other hand...I'm sure he can wait for a while longer (even though he tells me different). Which is probably the reason why Heavenly Father hasn't blessed us with any yet, because He knows that one of us isn't quite ready. I am in no way pushing or forcing it on my husband because I know that someday-sooner or later-our time for babies will come. I trust that my Father in Heaven will send them to us when we're both good and ready. =)

Because truth be told, financially, we're far from being ready. People tell us all the time, "What are you guys waiting for? If it's to be financially steady, it's NEVER gonna happen." Which is true. You'll never have enough money unless you're a millionaire...and let's face, we are nowhere close to that. In fact, we're quite the opposite. Haha but money isn't what makes US work. We live with what we have and try to count the blessings we are blessed with daily. It's easy to forget how much we truly have when we're worried about worldy things. Another thing, we really enjoy our alone time. Not having to look for a babysitter when we wanna go out. We like our freedom to up and go without having to worry about if it'll be okay for the babies or not, etc. So that's another reason why we're not too bummed about being "late" parents. =) Even though we dated for 5 years prior to getting married, and have been married for almost 2 years, we're still learning so much about each other. So we have confidence that the Lord knows what he's doing. He's telling us, "Fear not. Trust in me." That...we are doing. =)

But the saying above inspired me to post a blog because since I'm not a Mom at the moment, I can still be the BEST Auntie to my nieces and nephews that I can be. So this is to all my babies...

I love you all so very much. You mean the world to me and even when I have kids of my own, you guys will still hold a very special place in my heart. I'm always here if you need me and I'll also always be here to kick you in the rear when you need it. Follow your dreams, always remember where you come from and who you represent.

Love Always,
Aunty Chrislynn

P.S.
A big thank you to my brothers and their wives for letting us borrow their kids whenever we want!!

I ♥ My Family!!

Okay, so I guess we can all say that I am NO GOOD at keeping up with blogging. LOL

It's summa summa summa time...and I hate it. I've never been one to like the heat. I am truly my father's daughter!! Yes, I love the beach and sunny California, but being here in Utah where there is NO beach...it is NO BUENO!!

I usually like to take my nieces and nephews to California for our annual Fuimaono family reunion, but since we were unable to make it there this year...this was my alternative. If you don't already know, my nieces & nephews are my life (after my husband of course). Since we don't have children of our own, we like to spoil them as if they are ours. So I recently planned a "fun" day for my family (Me & my Hubby, Momma, my siblings and their families) to go to our local water park called Cowabunga Bay.

We've never been there before and we didn't know anyone who had gone yet either. So we were completely clueless as to what to expect. I had planned it for Sunday, July 24th (which here in Utah is a holiday called Pioneer Day).  Being LDS...we are supposed to be in church on Sundays!! Yes we already know...but I figured that Sunday would be the best day to go because we all had the day off and I wanted to beat the holiday rush that they would have on Monday. So we did it!! We broke the sabbath to go to the water park. The way I look at it is...if you're spending quality time together as a family and you remember to always keep in mind our Heavenly Father and his many blessings, it shouldn't matter what day it is. But to each his own!!

*This was the end of the day...but it's the best pic with all of us in it (except me)*

Anyways, we got there at around 10am (the park doesn't open til 11am, but we wanted to get a really good spot...again, I'm like my Daddy). We were the first in line...yippee!! If we can only be on time to everything else. Haha The kids were so excited to go inside...and that alone made my day. After all, I did plan it with them in mind...so it was all for my babies!! We all had our new SWIMSUITS on (that was a HUGE surprise to us and was VERY different because we're so used to wearing tank tops or t-shirts with basketball shorts to go swimming). But we rolled with it and we were feeling GREAT!! (That is until we saw all of our pictures at the end of the day...but that's a different subject for a different day!!) LOL =) We finally went in and got a really good spot (btw, this palagi family heard us talking about it and tried to outrun us to our spot...I was thinking, you're kidding me right?!? Well, sorry bout it cuz we got it. Lol). The only downer to our party, was that we were missing *Marli K* (she's spending the summer with her "other-one" Aunty NaeNae in California) & our Daddy, *Ricc Muasau* (he lives in New Zealand) =( But we made the best of it and had enough fun for everyone!! The babies were everywhere and had smiles on their faces all day.

*Pesi Eteuati...aka CHUBBA*

We all had soooo much fun and we decided that we would definitely do it again in a heartbeat. We (as in us adults) got really sun burnt and are still suffering from it...but all agreed that it was well worth it. I love my family to pieces and would do anything for them. It's the little things that count and matter most...and sometimes it's also the big things that make it worth it as well.

Therefore, since summer vacation is almost over...I've planned for the rest of our family (all of us, Mom's sisters and their whole families) to go as well!! So if nothing else...I'll for sure be back on here to post that up in 2 weeks. Wish us luck!!

Prince!!

I missed a call from Aunty Goob when I was sleeping after I got home from work this morning/afternoon and she left me a voicemail about tonight's football game, Jordan Beetdiggers vs. Brighton Bengals. Not only was it LT, DT and Malu's senior night, but it was also their homecoming game. She wanted to let Joseph and I know so that we can go and show some support if we were available. Unfortunately, my Husband had to work late. Luckily Mom stopped at the house before going to the game, so I went and rode with her. I was so excited to go see the boys play. It's been so long since I've gone to a high school football game and I miss it so much.

Anywho, the boys did so well!! We were sitting with our long lost cousins, the Laulu's. We (meaning Aunty Goob, Mom & Irene) were cheering so loud. I tried to join in with them, but I could feel a headache coming on from me yelling...so I took a seat and sat there looking "pretty". Ha!

Too bad we missed the boys' senior night recognition, but we were able to catch everything else. One which was being able to see LT ride on the back of a sparkling red convertible to be announced as Jordan's 2010 Homecoming PRINCE!! It was amazing to see one of our boys as part of the homecoming royalty. My eyes were starting to tear up as he was going around the field and I look over at Mom to see her bawling her eyeballs out. Buncha crybabies I tell ya...we must get that from my Papa Gafa...LOL.

We're so proud of the boys. They did a great job and fought for the win. I hope we'll be able to watch my brothers play next year. I'm so thankful for my family...they make my life complete!!

Annoyance (is that a word?)

So I'm sitting here trying to re-do my blog design (it's 4am by the way); I'm going through some of the blogs that I follow and I run into a photographer named Kayleen T's blog. I start going through her recent work and RIGHT AWAY I get annoyed because there's this couple's wedding she photographed, that happened to get married in the same temple my Husband and I got married in. So I'm browsing and browsing...and browsing and the more I go on, I keep getting more and more upset because these pictures are SPECTACULAR!! The photos she got made me feel as though I was there at that wedding. I can feel the love and happiness of their special day by just looking at those photos.

Well the reason why I'm so pissed/angry/upset/mad/hurt/betrayed/annoyed, etc is because the so-called photographer that we hired to photograph our wedding (which is what?? the most important day of people's lives) STILL to this day has NOT given us a single picture that she was supposed to have captured. Luckily for us, she had another photographer there to assist her. He was so kind enough to edit some of the photos he took of us at the temple and give it to us FREE of charge...and if it weren't for him (Alvin Ahquin-thank you so much), we wouldn't have a single photo of our special day. Unfortunately he wasn't able to make it to the reception, so we have absolutely nothing from it. Yeah I know some people are probably thinking, "but that's not the special part of a wedding. It's the vows and yadda yadda..." I know, I know...but it just irritates me to know that someone can be so heartless and take the money that was paid to them to do a job and they never complete it, yet still keep the money!!

It's upsetting because that's a day that we can't relive, a day we can't go back on and moments that we won't be able to capture and show pictures to our kids or our grandkids about the day we became eternal companions. My Husband feels it best that we file a lawsuit against her, but being from the cultural background that I'm from, we're just not used to doing that to other people (especially from the same culture). Not only that, but she was actually referred to us by one of my family members; so that would be awkward in the future, right? Well I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens. Until then, I've got to keep myself grounded and look at the positive side of things. My Husband and I are and will always be together forever and ever...with or without those photos!!

An Amazing Milestone

So, yes I'm a little late on updating my blog for this special day (4 days late to be exact). But whatever...moving on. I can't believe that my Hubby and I have already reached our 1 year mark of being married!! It's been a lot of fun. We've learned a WHOLE lot about each other...likes AND dislikes. But as like any other marriage, you learn to live with it and accept them for the person they are. It's the little things that make you who YOU are and vice versa. If those little things change...then of course that person is changing (and sometimes it's NOT always for the good because that's the person you fell in love with from the get-go). So anyways, our anniversary is on September 12th and this year of course it landed on a Sunday. There wasn't much that we could do on the exact day because of work and church and family, etc. So I requested some vacation time off from work a long time ago and I decided to take advantage of it and spend every waking moment I could with my Husband. Since we have Mom and the kids staying with us, we couldn't walk around the house in our G's and serve each other breakfast in bed like we used to when we had the house to ourselves (LOL). That's fine...all's good!! We enjoyed each other's company, laughed (a lot), reminisced (when/how we met, our first date & the many others that followed, our engagement, our wedding, etc), cried (I did at least cuz I'm a crybaby like that & I don't care), watched some tv/movies together and what not. I think those are thee BESTest times that two people can have together and I enjoyed EVERY SINGLE MINUTE!! I love my Husband so much and I am SO grateful for him and ALL he does; because of him we have a roof over our heads, food on the table, clothes on our backs, shoes on our feet, the priesthood in our home, each other to hold at night and EVERYTHING else in between. It's definitely been an awesome year of learning and loving...but most of all I can't wait for the many many more years that we have to share together for now and all ETERNITY!! ♥ I love you Babe...♥

Where does time go??

Okay so it seems to me that I only post ONE blog a month. What the...?? I don't even know. But since August is practically dang near over with, I might as well give an update. Can you believe that?? It's almost September!!

Well July was a great month. I took two trips to California during that time!! Yes two. It was hectic and a burden on my Hubby's wallet, but we still managed to get through (thanks to our Father in Heaven for his help and guidance as well as to my loving Husband who put up with it, let alone me). Our 70th Fuimaono Family Reunion was a HIT!! I loved every minute I shared with family from near and far. I also got to spend some time with my Sissy before she went to New Zealand for 3 MONTHS!! All in all, we made it there and back (both times) safe and sound, and let me remind you that there's NO PLACE LIKE HOME!!

Of course when it was time to go back to work, I about DIED!! Haha. But we've all gotta do what we gotta do and jump back into reality (working that is) whether we like it or not. Thankfully, I LOVE my job!!

Hmmm what else has happened?? Oh!! Mom and the kids moved in with Joseph and I. Yeah I know, our house is really, really crowded right now, but I wouldn't have my Mom and siblings anywhere else. Of course I do miss me and my husband's time alone and our house being so quiet, but what can we do. Luckily, we're looking to move into a bigger place once our lease is up. That's the least we (ME especially) can do for ALL the years that Momma has taken care of us as a single parent. I love her so much and I'm grateful to have her be a part of our household.

My husband is TRULY a blessing to me. He has accepted me, my family, our culture and everything else in between with open arms from the day I met him and continues to do so NOW!! I couldn't ask for a husband more loving and giving than him and him alone. He busts his butt to go to work to support not only me, but now my mother and siblings. I know that I can be a BIG pain in his behind about things that shouldn't even matter and we don't really see things "eye-to-eye", but he continues to love me unconditionally. Therefore, I'm so LUCKY to have him as my ETERNAL companion. I love him with all that I have in me and some!! I can't say it enough...Dang, I'm one LUCKY WOMAN!!
